A Grand Purpose
In GenRize, players are incentivized to join their efforts towards a common goal: to unlock the Interdimensional Singularity. This monumental event marks the unveiling of the first fully-playable VR World in our expansive metaverse.
To reach this coveted goal, players must immerse themselves in a web-based metagame, set to launch a few months after the initial seed sale. Within this metagame, simpler yet engaging gameplay awaits. Players will take on the role of Explorers tasked with assembling and managing a small fleet. These vessels will venture into the unknown depths of space, visiting uncharted planets in search of rare resources, notably the coveted Genorite crystals. However, success isn’t solely a solitary endeavor. Explorers must align themselves with one of three in-game Factions, collaborating with comrades to achieve a collective objective. Together, they must accumulate a specific, albeit undisclosed, quantity of Genorite crystals. Only by pooling their efforts and strategizing as a unified force can they unlock the elusive Interdimensional Singularity.
In the realm of our interactive experience, rewards for reaching this landmark event come in two forms: explicit and implicit. Factions that successfully reach this milestone will reap the benefits of the Global Prize Pool, a treasure trove that swells in size with each transaction within the decentralized marketplace. But the true glory lies in being among the first to lay eyes upon the new World that unfolds before them.
Explorers also hold the power to turn their discoveries into tangible gains, trading these rare resources for real-world value. However, this opportunity comes with a strategic twist. Those select resources can only be sold to rival Factions, forcing players to carefully navigate the delicate balance between short-term gains and long-term triumph. In this game of risk and reward, every decision shapes the fate of both individual players and the metaverse.
Avoiding The “Shopping Mall” Mentality
A common trend among crypto projects lacking a defined purpose beyond profits is to merely present a catalog of items available for purchase with their currency, hoping it will be a compelling proposition. They just want to build a shopping mall. We reject this approach, choosing instead to invest the necessary time in researching a robust player-driven decentralized economic system. Like in any other economy, consumable and cosmetic items will be available for purchase, but it’s the emergent gameplay and player agency that will be the driving force behind our ecosystem.
Economy
While our VR Worlds will be the “face” of the project, appearing in promotional posters and videos, the true heart of the economy resides in the browser metagame, accessible to anyone. The initial core mechanisms behind this metagame are broken down into four layers:
- Planetary management
- Fleet maintenance
- Deep space exploration
- Resource processing
It essentially works like a circular economy. A planet can house a fleet, which can go on exploration missions to recover ressources, which in turn need to be processed on the planet.
Rare resources, notably the aforementioned Genorite crystals, are the goods that flow in and out of this ecosystem. The crystals can be stored away or sold for $RIZE on the marketplace to another player from a competing Faction. Other select resources can also be sold or used for upgrading and maintaining the player’s infrastructure. Therefore, most of the tradable in-game items will come from exploration missions. $RIZE can also be sold to fellow players on the in-game marketplace or in exchanges (available in later production stages) for stablecoins such as USDT.
Player Profile
When an Explorer connects their wallet to the browser metagame for the first time, they will be awarded a newly minted planet in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT). This celestial body belongs to them and represents their player profile and center of operations in GenRize. Planets will be subject to a weekly ranking contest where prizes in the form of rare resources or $RIZE tokens will be awarded to the most active players.
Later into production, Explorers will be able to trade their own planet and start from scratch on a new one.
Factions
Exploration will be a key pillar of the GenRize economy. Resources must be spent to initiate an exploration mission, which in turn may yield important rewards. Every new player will start with a standard hangar for their fleet and a factory for resource processing. This ensures that even those without $RIZE tokens can engage in the game. However, only through infrastructure upgrades can they truly excel as Explorers. Expanding the hangar allows for more ships to embark on exploration missions, thereby collecting resources that can be processed more efficiently in an upgraded factory. These infrastructures can be upgraded with rare resources found in exploration missions or in the in-game marketplace.
Embarking on exploration missions requires Fuel. Every player possesses a finite amount of Fuel that they can use to power their fleet. Fuel replenishes automatically over time, and when it reaches maximum capacity, the production is halted until it is utilized for another mission. Explorers can also acquire consumable Fuel Packs from the in-game marketplace or discover them occasionally on uncharted planets.
This system mirrors the widely popular free-to-play model that is common among most mobile games. While everyone is welcomed to explore the game at no cost, sustained participation ensures an active platform and a thriving internal economy.
Non-Monetary Items
To streamline the in-game marketplace and avoid confusing novice players, we’ve opted to categorize assets recoverable through exploration missions into two distinct groups: rare and common. Rare items, often in the form of NFTs, will have their ownership recorded on the blockchain, a feature particularly pertinent to narrative-driven elements like Genorite crystals. Common items won’t be eligible for trading and will solely serve to upgrade the player’s experience and efficiency within the game. Collecting and utilizing these items will serve as personal objectives for each Explorer.
Tokenomics
$RIZE is an ERC20 token deployed on the Ethereum blockchain and the main currency of the GenRize metaverse. After the initial presale phases, it can only be acquired through the in-game marketplace, exchanges (after listing) or as gameplay rewards.

After the release of the browser metagame, the rate at which $RIZE is minted and burned will be based on the active playerbase. The supply and price will be balanced in order to maintain a reasonable internal asset pricing and allow new players to participate in the economy.

Minor taxes will be applied to marketplace transactions. A portion of those fees will go towards the Global Prize Pool and the emission supply used for gameplay rewards.
Global Prize Pool
The Global Prize pool is the ultimate prize awarded to the Faction that unlocks the Interdimensional Singularity—a major competitive in-game event. The Pool grows in size after each in-game transaction on the marketplace.
